Tours
What is a vortex tour?
Does each tour visit a vortex?
The short answer is yes. The long answer your facilitator can elaborate in more detail. For our specifically healing focused tours, your guide may recommend a lesser known vortex site which will offer a little more potential for privacy than the more commonly known vortex sites.
What is involved in the tour?
Which tour should I book?
What can I expect from the experience?
Any expectations you come with may be different from what you anticipate of the experience. It is best to approach it with an open mind. We’re not here to heal you, but help provide support on your healing journey. What you put into the experience, you will get out of it. It’s our goal and desire to have you leave the experience with something more than you came with — such as “tools” to “take home” with you, deeper insights, knowledge, and an overall quality of peace beyond our time together. We can’t promise anything but have seen big shifts for people in short periods of time after our time together for those who are open, willing, and ready.
Is this a hike?
Our main emphasis is more so for the healing experience and connecting into the influence of the vortex energy and less of a “hike”, however there is some walking involved to get to the location. The hike/walk can be anywhere from a couple hundred yards to a couple of miles. While there are some locations we can visit with minimal walking, there may be some hiking involved to get to the destination. Depending on your interests and desires, your guide will create a customized experience for you and/or your group needs and desires.
Do I need to be physically fit for the tour?
Each tour is tailored to your individual needs and we can accommodate most physical abilities and any limitations. We work with people of all abilities, ages, and fitness levels. Please notify us of any physical limitations and health concerns and we are more than happy to accommodate.
Are any of the vortex sites accessible by wheelchair or a walker?
Which tour should I choose?
For our Healing & Empowerment Tours, those give more emphasis to the experience whereas the Vortex Tour is more so in learning, experiencing, and connecting with the vortex energy.
If wanting to do a combination of the tours — that is possible with our 3-hr. tour. However, for the 2-tour it is intended to be within the focus of the specific tour.
What’s the difference between the tours?
What’s the difference between the Vortex Tour and the Healing Vortex Tour?
The main difference is the Healing Vortex Tour focuses solely on healing — working specifically with your intentions and desires. If you are going through any transition, needing some support, wanting a break from work/home life and an opportunity to reset and relax, or to gain more clarity — the healing tour is a good option.
While we do incorporate healing aspects within our Vortex Tour, that is not the main emphasis as the vortex tour is intended more so in becoming aware of and connecting to the subtle energies within and of the land. This is a great option for people who are new to Sedona.
If you would like to do a combination of healing while learning more about and connecting into the influence of the vortex energy, we would recommend a 3-hr. tour.
What’s the difference between the Empowerment and the Healing Vortex Tour?
The Healing Vortex Tour is typically more of a passive practice in which your facilitator offers healing practices such as sound or energy healing that you receive. If you have never done any energy work practices before, it can involve a process of letting in or letting go to bring yourself (mind/body/spirit) into harmony and balance.
How long is the tour?
We also have our Full-Day Vortex Package that is 5 hrs. total with a break for lunch.
What’s the difference between the 2 or 3 Hr. tour?
Our 2 hour tour is a great introduction to Sedona while connecting to the vortex energy and for those who are on more of a budget; While the 3 hour tour provides more time and opportunity to either dive deeper into the experience, visit more than 1 vortex site, or travel to an area to get further away from the crowds.
What is the best time of year and time of day to book a tour in Sedona?
We suggest you book your tour at the beginning of your trip to Sedona and leave some wiggle room in your schedule for flexibility to rearrange if need be.
Can I change the time of the tour?
Which Site/Vortex will we visit?
When will we know of our location?
How many vortex sites will we visit?
Can we visit more than one vortex in the 2 hr. Tour?
Where do we meet?
Can I park a motorhome at the destination?
Yes. Though, not every site can accommodate this. Please let your facilitator know if you will be in a vehicle that is longer than 18’.
What Should I Bring?
What Should I Wear?
The temperature and weather can change quickly in Sedona – dress in layers! We will have periods of movement and stillness; the body temperature naturally cools when it is in a relaxed state. Dress accordingly and check the weather to consider adding a warm layer.
If you are coming during the warmer months of April – Sept., consider dressing in lightweight and light colored clothing. Cotton is ideal for the desert environment. Local’s Tip: A long sleeve cotton top and long breathable pants can be a nice way to keep the sun off, which you can also dampen to cool off if you get hot easily.
Are kids allowed?
Absolutely! We love having the spirit of little ones join the experience. We often find they are able to tap into the influence of the vortex energy and embody the essence of the “upward” or “downward” flowing energy, sometimes more than adults! We enjoy engaging the participation of the younger ones by getting them involved in the process whether that be looking for crystals or playing with the sound healing instruments. For youth under 18, we provide a 50% discount and children under 5 are free.
Individual Healings & Readings
What’s the difference from the “Healing Sessions” vs. the “Healing Tour?”
The tours give the ability for group healings (occasionally there is some one-on-one time, but this is much shorter (5 min.). For individualized attention and focus, we recommend booking a separate individual healing session or reading.
What’s the difference from the Soundbath vs. “Healing Tour?
What is a Soundbath/Sound Healing?
For example, if you chant: “OM” (“ahhh”… in heart “ooooo”… in throat… “mmm” or “ng” in third eye) you will feel the vibrations in the different areas.
If you look up cymatics, you’ll see how sound healing frequencies can create geometric patterns from sound vibration in water for example. Since our bodies are made of ¾ water, it’s thought that sound can help bring the body back in to balance and to “shake off” anything not serving you to feel more ease, peace, and relaxation.
